Why am I getting charged sales tax on my orders when I previously wasn't?Updated a year ago

Historically, sales tax was only required when a business had a physical presence in the buyer’s state. However, a recent tax law update by the Supreme Court requires all e-commerce retailers to collect sales tax in a state if they earn above a revenue or sales threshold in that specific state (this is called “economic nexus”). In order to maintain compliance with this tax law update, a tax charge now applies on True Botanicals Inc. orders in the following U.S. states: AZ, CA, IL, NY, NJ, WA, CO, GA, MI, NC, SC, AR, KS, NE, NV, RI, CT, DC, HI, IN, KY, ME, MD, MN, OH, PA, TX, VT, VA, WI, UT, LA, TN, MA, ID, FL, WY & NM
